The Rev. Jana Branson
Rector
​
A lifelong Episcopalian, Rev. Jana was ordained to the priesthood in 2018 after working for many years in the field of mental health as a counselor, case manager, group therapy facilitator, and crisis worker. In 2012, she left her career in mental health to enter discernment for the priesthood, a call that she had felt since childhood.
Rev. Jana attended the Church Divinity School of the Pacific in Berkeley, California, earning a Master of Divinity degree, was ordained, and served as the associate Rector of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Auburn, California for two years. She spent the next four years as the rector of Saint David’s Episcopal Church in Gales Ferry, Connecticut. Now Rector of All Saints, Rev. Jana is committed to parish ministry and to helping All Saints thrive.
Rev. Jana lives in Sacramento with her husband Eric. They are the parents of four grown sons. She is a member of the Society of Mary and the Daughters of the King.
Scott Nelson
Organist-Choirmaster

Scott Nelson, a native of Spokane, Washington, holds a bachelor’s degree in music from Whitworth College, where he studied organ with Wayne Kalstrom, and the Master of Music degree from Kent State University, where he studied organ and improvisation with John Ferguson. He has served as Tenor Lay Clerk in the choir of Men and Boys at Norwich Cathedral in England, and has directed the music programs at churches in Washington, Ohio, and Texas before coming to California. He is the owner of Nelson Pipe Organ Service and he built the All Saints 3 manual/58 rank pipe organ in 1999.
Lachlan Brooks
Parish Administrator

From a birth into an evangelical church over in Rhode Island, Lachlan made their winding way to All Saints. The rich history and welcoming community drew them into the church, but the way All Saints knows how to throw a party certainly helped keep them here. Lachlan did a little bit of everything before starting work here, and does a little bit of everything for the parish now.
Norma Boge
Bookkeeper

Norma Boge has been managing All Saints financial records since 2001. She has had a long a varied career which has included owning a greenhouse and a pawn shop, as well as working as a bookkeeper for GM.
The Rev. Portia Hopkins
Associate Priest
​
Portia has lived most of her life in the Bay Area. She became an Episcopalian about ten years ago and was ordained in 2020, drawn by the Episcopal Church’s beautiful liturgy and commitment to social justice. She spent thirty years as a college professor before answering a call to ordained ministry. She has degrees from San Jose State University, the California Institute of Integral Studies, and Church Divinity School of the Pacific.
